The Plan Commission-Architectural Review Board and the Board of Aldermen are in the process of implementing key results from the Clayton Tomorrow 2040 Comprehensive Plan. One key result is an evaluation of various review processes to identify opportunities to streamline procedures and better address community concerns. Proposed revisions seek to revise elements of the sign code in conjunction with this key result. Anna Krane, Director of Planning, addressed the Board to answer questions. The buffer requirements proposed match those currently placed on marijuana dispensaries. In addition, staff have drafted proposed revisions to licensing regulations and offenses provisions, outlined in a separate agenda item. The text amendment was presented to the Plan Commission on November 3, 2025, and unanimously recommended to the Board of Aldermen for approval.
