City Attorney O’Keefe reads Bill No. 6632, an Ordinance Levying and Establishing the Rate of Annual Taxes for General Municipal Purposes; Police Building Debt Service; General Obligation Debt Service; and Special Business District Purposes to be Collected by the City of Clayton, Missouri, for the Year 2017, and Repealing Ordinance #6495 on the Same Subject. The motion passed unanimously on a voice vote. Motion was made by Alderman Winings that the Board give unanimous consent to consideration for adoption of Bill No. 6632 on the day of its introduction and seconded by Alderman Boulton to accept as read. City Manager Owens reported that the City’s current contract with Allied Services LLC d/b/a Republic Services of Bridgeton (aka Allied Waste) is set to expire September 30, 2018. In anticipation of the expiration of this contract, Republic Services has proposed a 5-year contract extension with an increase of 3% per year. City Manager Owens reported that the proposed ordinance will amend the current parking agreement, the original agreement dates to October 25, 2006. Moneta Real Estate, LLC recently purchased property located at 100 South Brentwood and need additional parking to accommodate its employees and tenants.
