Board of Aldermen In-Person and virtual Meeting October 28, 2025 7:00 p.m.

MINUTES

Mayor McAndrew called the meeting to order and requested a roll call. The following individuals were in attendance:

In person: Susan Buse, Becky Patel, Gary Feder, Rick Hummell, Kami Waldman, and Mayor Bridget McAndrew.

Staff: City Manager Gipson, City Attorney O’Keefe, City Clerk Frazier, and Assistant City Manager Burr.

Absent: Jeff Yorg

PUBLIC REQUESTS AND PETITIONS

Mayor McAndrew expressed congratulations and thanks to Clayton’s Public Works Director, Matt Malick on receiving the "Public Works Leader of the Year Award" from the Missouri Chapter of the American Public Works Association.

Mayor McAndrew shared news of the passing of a long-time resident, Suzanne (Suzi) Forsyth. Ms. Forsyth was well known throughout the community, actively participating in protecting her surrounding neighborhood(s).

A PUBLIC HEARING AND A RESOLUTION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW THE USE OF SHORT-TERM RENTALS LOCATED AT 7931 FORSYTH BOULEVARD

Mayor McAndrew opened the public hearing and requested proof of publication.

City Manager Gipson reported that this is a public hearing and a request for a Conditional Use Permit from Autenrieth Properties LLC, to allow for the use of short-term rentals located at 7931 Forsyth Boulevard.

David Schlafley, owner, addressed the Board to answer questions.

Anna Krane, Director of Planning, addressed the Board to answer questions.

Mayor McAndrew closed the public hearing.

Motion made by Alderman Buse to approve waiving the parking requirements for the subject property. Alderman Patel seconded.

The motion passed unanimously on a voice vote.

Motion made by Alderwoman Buse to approve Resolution No. 2025-29 as amended, granting a Conditional Use Permit for 7931 Forsyth Boulevard. Alderman Patel seconded.
