Call to Order Information, Procedural: 1.01 Statement of Adequate Notice The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. and was held via the virtual platform Zoom due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. 2. Recognizing Our Own Information: 2.01 Globe Students Students from the Globe at Clayton High School were recognized with advisor, Erin Sucher-O'Grady. Students recognized were: Ivy Reed Shane LaGesse Sofia Erlin Angela Xiao Siddhi Narayan Ella Cuneo Kaitlyn Tran 3. Superintendent Communications Information: 3.01 Superintendent Communications Dr. Doherty, superintendent, updated the Board and the community on gratitude for how the staff pivoted during this pandemic, implementing fourth quarter changes, monitoring our district data, vaccines, Dr. Patel’s transition plan and continuing initiatives despite the constraints of COVID. 4. Student Representative to the Board Information: 4.01 Student Representative to the Board of Education - Update Kaitlyn Tran, student advisor to the Board of Education, updated the board about the current climate with anti-Asian hate groups and the support group in our district, more engagement in classrooms with everyone back together in classrooms, mental health in our communities, along with updates on Quiz Bowl, the Mock Trial and Science Olympian competitions.

Board of Education Meeting Minutes March 31, 2021 Page 2 5. Information Items Study: 5.01 Technology Self-Study Year 1 Jeff Puls, chief technology officer, and Dr. Milena Garganigo, assistant superintendent teaching and learning, presented the update on the Technology Self-Study Year 1.

Information: 5.02 Annual Assessment Report Dr. Milena Garganigo, assistant superintendent teaching and learning, along with Clayton High School teachers, Jen Sellenrieck and Angie Caracciolo, provided an overview of the annual assessment report.

Information: 5.03 Enrollment Projections Mary Jo Gruber, chief financial officer, presented the enrollment projections for 2021-2022.

6. Study Item Study: 6.01 Staffing Recommendations 2021-2022 Dr. Tony Arnold, assistant superintendent human resources, presented the staffing recommendations for 2021-2022 school year.

7. Action Action, Second Reading: 7.01 Second Reading and Adoption - Policy GCL - Professional Staff Development That the Board of Education approve Policy GCL regarding Professional Staff Development for second reading and adoption as submitted.
