Inside Clayton Special Edition: Planning a Future as Strong as Our Past

Inside Clayton Special Edition: Planning a Future as Strong as Our Past Work on the District’s Long-Range Facilities Master Plan is moving forward, with design teams developing early concepts for renovations and additions across the District. A key priority is the construction of a STEM Learning Lab at Clayton High School to support expanded Career and Technical Education opportunities, along with potential upgrades to the school’s performing arts spaces. Additional projects under consideration include renovations to elementary school facilities and updates to existing athletic spaces. To learn more about these priorities, residents should have received a special issue of Inside Clayton at their homes over winter break. The magazine provides an in-depth look at the planning process and the needs being evaluated across the District. Follow this link to view the issue and learn more . While no decisions have been made, the Board of Education is expected to discuss placing a zero tax rate increase bond issue on the April 7 ballot. Pending voter approval, the District could issue up to $135 million in bonds to fund facility improvements without increasing the current debt levy.
