District Shares Latest Updates on Glenridge Renovation and Bridge Campus Plans

District Shares Latest Updates on Glenridge Renovation and Bridge Campus Plans Planning continues for the Proposition O -funded renovation of Glenridge Elementary School and the school's temporary relocation to the Bridge Campus during construction. There is a lot happening behind the scenes as the District prepares for this exciting next chapter for Glenridge. While construction activity at Glenridge is not expected to begin until June 2027, the District's design partners are refining plans and making adjustments to keep the project on schedule and within budget. At its Oct. 7 meeting , the Board of Education approved an extension of the District's existing site access agreement for a portion of the former Fontbonne University campus. This important step allows the District to move forward with testing, permitting, design and site preparation while a final agreement with Washington University is being completed. The District is also working closely with Mobile Modular to refine the Bridge Campus layout. Although the buildings will be temporary, the goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable school environment where students and staff can feel at home. The buildings will have electricity, plumbing, internet access and other essentials needed for a typical school day. Plans also include an outdoor play space. The District hopes to begin offering tours of the Bridge Campus as early as May 2027, once the site is ready. While that timeline may shift as plans progress, the District will continue to share updates and keep the Glenridge community informed. For more information, visit the Bridge Campus FAQ . The District’s design partners are also scheduled to return to the Board table on Oct. 28 to share more information about these projects and next steps.
