The meeting was called to order at 7:07 p.m. and held at the Administrative Center boardroom at #2 Mark Twain Circle, Clayton, MO
63105.
Move that the Board of Education approve modifications to the May 19, 2021 agenda to remove Recognizing Our Own, add in the
Resignation of a Board Member, and add in Announcement of Board of Education Vacancy
Motion by Gary Pierson, second by Stacy Siwak.
Final Resolution: Motion Carries

Action: 2.01 Board Member Resignation - David Gulick
That the Board of Education accept the resignation of David Gulick and declare the vacancy on the Board of Education

Information: 3.01 Announcement of Board of Education Vacancy
The district announced a board member vacancy and discussed the process of the filling the vacancy. The application for this vacancy
will be posted on May 20, 2021 to the district website for the public with all paperwork and deadline information.

Information: 4.01 Superintendent Communications
Superintendent, Dr. Doherty, reported on student and staff COVID data, vaccine clinics, risk mitigation, celebrations for seniors,
upcoming graduation, the new equity policy, the strategic plan update for Goal 3, presenting a draft of budget for 2021-2022 and the
superintendent transition.
5. Student Representative to the Board
Information: 5.01 Student Representative to the Board of Education - Update
Student Representative to the Board of Education, Kaitlyn Tran, presented an update on the senior week celebrations and graduation,
spring sports, testing in schools, and performing arts groups in the schools.
6. Policy
First Reading: 6.01 First Reading - Policy ACB - Educational Equity
Cameron Poole, Director of Equity and Inclusion, and Dr. Robyn Wiens, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, presented the
Policy ACB - Educational Equity for a first reading and discussion.
7. Study Item
Study: 7.01 Strategic Plan - Goal 3: In Head and Heart
Dr. Robyn Wiens, Assistant Superintendent Student Services, and Kim Sherony, Director of the All in Clayton Coalition, presented an
updated to the strategic plan – Goal 3.
Study: 7.02 Budget Draft 2021-2022
Mary Jo Gruber, Chief Financial Officer, presented a draft copy of the 2021-2022 budget for discussion.

8.01 District Calendar 2022-2023
Chief Communications Officer, Chris Tennill, presented the district calendar for 2022-2022 school year for discussion.

Amy Rubin congratulated the sports teams.
Stacy Siwak spoke about the PAC.ED Steering Committee.
Joe Miller spoke about the board member Professional Learning Committee event with other districts.
