Information, Procedural: 1.01 Statement of Adequate Notice, Pledge of Allegiance 
The business meeting of the Board of Education was held virtually via Zoom due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 
meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. 
2. Recognizing Our Own
Information: 2.01 Parent Advisory Council of Children with Education Diversity (PAC.ED) and Special School 
District 
Dr. Sean Doherty, Superintendent, and Dr. Robyn Wiens, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, recognized 
the Parent Advisory Council of Children with Educational Diversity (PAC.ED) leaders and Special School District staff 
who have been serving students since the beginning of the year.

Action, Information: 3.01 Disability History and Awareness Month 
That the Board of Education declares the month of October 2020 as Disabilities History and Awareness 
Month as a way of encouraging the District to take time to honor students with disabilities as well as the 
professionals who work with them to provide exemplary learning experiences in the School District of Clayton

Information: 4.01 Superintendent Communications 
Dr. Sean Doherty, Superintendent, provided the community an update to our Return to Learn plan with gradually 
bringing students back at all levels.  
 
 
5. Student Representative to the Board 
Information: 5.01 Student Representative to the Board of Education - Update 
Student representative to the board, Kaitlyn Tran, spoke about the various high school classes and how they are 
incorporating creative methods of instruction during this social distancing timeframe. 
 
 
6. Study Items 
Study, First Reading: 6.01 First Reading - Policy IC - Academic Calendar 
The first reading of the policy IC Academic Calendar was presented for discussion by Chris Tennill, Chief 
Communications Officer.  
 
Study, First Reading: 6.02 First Reading - Policy IHB - Class Size 
The first reading of Policy IHB Class Size was presented for discussion by Dr. Milena Garganigo, Assistant 
Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. 
 
Study, First Reading: 6.03 First Reading - Policy IKF - Graduation Requirements 
The first reading of Policy IKF was presented for discussion by Dr. Milena Garganigo, Assistant Superintendent of 
Teaching and Learning. 
 
 
7. Information Items 
Information: 7.01 Equity Update 
Dr. Robyn Wiens, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, and Mr. Cameron Poole, Director of Equity and

Action, Second Reading: 8.01 Second Reading and Adoption - Policy ACA Sexual Harassment 
That the Board of Education approves Policy ACA regarding Sexual Harassment Under Title IX for 2nd reading and 
adoption as submitted.

Action: 8.03 Superintendent Search Firm 
Approval to hire McPherson and Jacobson as the consulting superintendent search firm to work with our district for 
the new superintendent search at a cost not to exceed $14,900

Ms. Suzanne Whitman sent a comment regarding the equity program in the district.

11. Board Communications 
Information: 11.01 Board Calendar, Committee, Community and Liaison Reports 
Mr. David Gulick spoke about the PTO Council meeting where their focus is on the food drive to get the pantry 
stocked up and the various ways schools are able to have functions with students and staff.  
Ms. Kim Hurst spoke about the food drive and the need for funding for the pantry to support our community.
