Call to Order Information, Procedural: 1.01 Statement of Adequate Notice The business meeting of the School District of Clayton was called to order at 7:01 p.m. While the meeting was supposed to be held in person, clue to inclement weather the meeting was moved to a virtual meeting over Zoom. Gary Pierson was not present at the start of the meeting. 2. Recognizing Our Own Information: 2.01 James and LaDonna Sutherlin - Basketball Volunteers Superintendent, Dr. Nisha Patel, introduced James and LaDonna Sutherlin who were recognized for their work with the basketball programs at Clayton High School. James has been the game announcer for the last 18 years, and his wife, LaDonna, accompanies him and keeps the scorebooks. 3. Superintendent Communications Information: 3.01 Superintendent Communications Superintendent, Dr. Nisha Patel, updated the Board and the community regarding COVIDtrends and patterns. Gary Pierson joined the meeting at 7:12 p.m. 4. Student Representative to the Board Information: 4.01 Student Representative to the Board of Education - Update Student Representative to the Board, Aitana Rosas Linhard, informed the Board and the community about the current sports season, Speech and Debate, Science Olympiad. Study Items Information: 5.01 Clayton High School Library Renovation Sue Pruchnicki, from Bond Architects, presented an update on the Clayton High School library renovations. 6. Stacy Siwak updated the Board on the PTO Council meeting. Gary Pierson updated the Board on the SSD Governing Council board elections coming up.
