1. Call to Order
Information, Procedural: 1.01 Statement of Adequate Notice 
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. and held at the Administrative Center boardroom at #2 Mark Twain Circle, Clayton, MO 
63105. Board member Kim Hurst was absent.   
2. Recognizing Our Own
Information: 2.01 National School Counseling Week (February 7-11) 
Dr. Robyn Wiens, assistant superintendent of student services, recognized our school counselors during National School Counseling 
Week. The counselors recognized were:

Carolyn Blair, College Counselor, Clayton High School 
Crystal Taylor, Counselor, Captain Elementary 
Homer Turner, Counselor, Clayton High School

Dr. Wiens also announced that counselor, Jason Thompson, was nominated for the LifeChanger of the Year Award, which is a national 
recognition that honors K-12 public school educators and employees who are making a difference in the lives of students by 
exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.   
3. Superintendent Communications
Information: 3.01 Superintendent Communications 
Superintendent, Dr. Nisha Patel, presented an update to the Board and community regarding Black History month, an update on our 
current COVID data, along with our Goal 3 update to the Strategic Plan - To Grow as Learners with the Assessment Report presented 
tonight.

4. Student Representative to the Board 
Information: 4.01 Student Representative to the Board of Education - Update 
Student Representative to the Board, Aitana Rosas-Linhard, presented on schools activities planned for Black History Month with 
Tuesday and Thursday announcements, music at lunch, students attending a theater conference and the recent theater performance, 
an update on the Clayton High School library renovations, end of winter sports and beginning of spring sports, students are now 
working on class registration and HB1474. 
 
 
5. Information 
Information: 5.01 Assessment Report 2021-2022 
Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, Dr. Milena Garganigo, along with Chief Equity Officer, Dr. Cameron Poole, discussed 
the assessment report for 2021-2022. Each principal shared their individual school improvement plans. Joining us were:

                  Beth Scott, principal, Glenridge Elementary 
                  Patrick Fisher, principal, Meramec Elementary 
                  Jamie Jordan, principal, Wydown Middle School 
                  Dan Gutchewsky, principal, Clayton High School 
 
After this agenda item, board members took a brief break from 9:26 - 9:32 p.m. 
 
6. Action 
Action: 6.01 Approval of Contractor and Budget Revision 
That the Board of Education approve the lowest and best bid including alternates 1-5 to be the general contractor for the safety and 
security improvement project from ISC Contracting for $2,946,741 and authorize administration to negotiate and enter into a contract 
for the same. Also, that the Board approve a budget revision to increase the capital budget for the total estimated project cost of 
$3,841,980.

Action: 6.02 Budget Revision - Carryover of Funds 
That the Board of Education approves a revision to the 2021-2022 expenditure budget to reflect total expenditures adjustments of 
$1,309,790 as presented.
