Alderman Hummell reported on the following: • Clayton Community Foundation Executive Meeting – discussion on the possibility of hiring/retaining professional fundraising firm for The Commons project • Concordia

Mayor Harris reported on the following: • Expressed appreciation for all who attended the Municipal League installation dinner • Emerson ribbon cutting • Clayton Wine Festival – great event!

Motion made by Alderman Berkowitz to adjourn the meeting. Alderman McAndrew seconded.

The motion passed unanimously on a voice vote.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.

having received majority approval, was adopted, and became Ordinance No. 6839 of the City of Clayton. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITIES OF BRENTWOOD AND RICHMOND HEIGHTS TO CREATE A COMMISSION FOR A FIRE DEPARTMENT TRAINING CENTER

City Manager Gipson reported that for your consideration is an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Cities of Brentwood and Richmond Heights to create a joint commission for the purpose of leasing property and construct and operate a facility for fire department training. The creation of the commission must be approved by all three cities before any further action can be taken. Once created, the commission will request the Board of Aldermen to ratify the commission’s by- laws and the property lease agreement for the training site. Chief Jason Hildebrandt was present to answer questions. Alderman Berkowitz introduced Bill No. 6979, approving an Intergovernmental Agreement with the cities of Brentwood and Richmond Heights for a Joint Fire Department Training Center Commission to be read for the first time by title only. Alderman McAndrew seconded. City Attorney O’Keefe reads Bill No. 6979, first reading, an Ordinance Authorizing an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Cities of Brentwood and Richmond Heights to Create a Commission for Fire Department Training Services by title only. The motion passed unanimously on a voice vote. Motion made by Alderman Berkowitz that the Board give unanimous consent to consideration for adoption of Bill No. 6979 on the day of its introduction.
