April 18, 2022 — Meeting Transcript

This transcript is from the Clayton Planning Commission/Architectural Review Board meeting held April 18, 2022. It records roll call, approval of minutes from the April 4 meeting, and discussion of multiple agenda items including a retaining-wall replacement project at 600 Francis Place (staff report, a staff condition requiring a right-of-way use permit, and a motion to approve with that recommendation) and a proposed ground-mounted sign and exterior renovations at 7701 Maryland Avenue (public and commissioner comments about building appearance, materials, and possible design options). The excerpts show a recorded motion and vote approving the 600 Francis Place item and note an anticipated construction start “in about six weeks,” but contain no tax, levy, or rate figures.

We'll get started now. We'll have the staff report first. Good evening, Anissa Cumro, Principal Planner with the City of Clayton. This project was held at the April 4th meeting in order for the applicant to attend. The 16,271 square foot property is located on the north side of Francis Place just west of the city's eastern boundary. The project consists of the installation of three retaining walls to replace the existing failed retaining walls. The planned locations of the walls are along the existing driveway, along the front porch and along the western side of the home.
