RECOGNITIONS AND AWARDS

Dr. Joseph Schafer, St. Louis University Professor and Commissioner with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) presented to the Board the CALEA reaccreditation of the Clayton Police Department.

Chief Mark Smith, Captain Mark Seagle, and Lieutenant Jack Abell were present.

A PUBLIC HEARING AND A RESOLUTION TO CONSIDER APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR 7610 WYDOWN BOULEVARD TO BE KNOWN AS BAR MORO

Mayor Harris opened the public hearing and requested proof of publication.

City Manager Gipson reported that this is a public hearing to consider an application for a Conditional Use Permit Transfer submitted by Ben Poremba of Bar Moro, LLC, restaurant owner, to allow for the operation of an approximately 1,009 square foot restaurant to be known as Bar Moro. The previous restaurant, known as Billie-Jean, has been closed for an extended period of time and therefore staff has decided to present the transfer request to the Board of Aldermen for final approval in accord with the discretion authorized by Sec. 405.860(D) of the City Code. 09-13-2022 BOA Minutes September 13, 2022 Page 1 of 6

Motion made by Alderman Lintz to approve Resolution No. 2022-19, granting the transfer of the Conditional Use Permit for 7610 Wydown Boulevard, Bar Moro. Alderman Berkowitz seconded.

The motion passed unanimously on a voice vote.

A MOTION TO CONSIDER A LIQUOR LICENSE FOR BAR MORO, LLC AT 7610 WYDOWN BOULEVARD

City Manager Gipson reported that Bar Moro, LLC is requesting a liquor license to sell all kinds of intoxicating liquor at retail by the drink, except Sundays, at 7610 Wydown Boulevard.

Motion made by Alderman Lintz to approve a liquor license for Bar Moro located at 7610 Wydown Boulevard. Alderman Berkowitz seconded.

The motion passed unanimously on a voice vote.

PUBLIC HEARING AND A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION OF THE 2022 REDISTRICTING COMMISSION

Public hearing remains open from the August 23, 2022 Board of Aldermen meeting.

City Manager Gipson reported that this is a resolution to consider approving the recommendation from the Redistricting Commission regarding redistricting the City’s Ward boundaries. During the meeting on August 23, 2022, the Board of Aldermen heard from the public and discussed the recommendation from the Redistricting Commission. Another ward boundary, Option E, was introduced during the meeting for review by the Board of Aldermen and the public. The resulting population distribution from Option E is as follows:
