This is the meeting minutes of the Clayton Board of Adjustment for March 5, 2026. It records roll call of five board members and other attendees, approval of the November 6, 2025 minutes, and proceedings on an appeal concerning 6420 Ellenwood. The appeal by owner Sharon Dougherty requested an 11-foot variance from the 30-foot required rear yard setback (Section 405.1900.A.2, R-2); a motion to grant the 11-foot variance received three votes in favor and two opposed and therefore did not carry.

Minutes from November 6th, 2025, were presented for approval. Liza Streett made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted. Lee Hanson seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.

2. 6420 Ellenwood An appeal from Sharon Dougherty, Applicant/Owner, for an 11-foot variance from the required rear yard setback of 30 feet, Section 405.1900.A.2 of Article XIII (“R- 2”) Single-Family Dwelling District. Rebecca Brewer swore in all those present wishing to speak on the appeal. Kevin O’Keefe entered the exhibits into the record. Sharon Dougherty, Applicant, was present on behalf of the appeal. The board discussed the appeal with the applicant. Liza Streett made a motion to approve an 11-foot variance from the required rear yard setback of 30. Lee Hanson seconded the motion. The motion did not carry with three votes in favor and two votes opposed.
