MINUTES CITY PLAN COMMISSION/ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD October 17, 2022 CITY HALL CHAMBERS/ZOOM MEETING

The City Plan Commission/Architectural Review Board of the City of Clayton, Missouri, met on the above date at 17:30 hours at the CITY HALL CHAMBERS/via ZOOM meeting. Upon roll call, the following responded:

Regular meeting of 10/03/2022

Carolyn Gaidis motioned to approve as submitted. Helen DiFate seconded the motion. The PC- ARB approved unanimously.

DISCUSSION

regarding the use of solar panels in relevant urban and historic contexts. Steve Lichtenfeld opened the conversation and discussed the circumstances leading to this meetings conversation. Members of the sustainability committee including Rich Lintz, Bill Chamberlin, and Carol Klein participated and provided examples of other cities and programs allowing solar in urban and historic areas. Staff made a presentation outlining a potential structure for future code amendments regarding solar installation. NEW BUSINESS 1. 13 DARTFORD AVENUE – ARCHITECTURE REVIEW – EXTERIOR ALTERATION Consideration of a request by Aim to Amaze Outdoor Services, Applicant, on behalf of Corinna Treitel and Krister Knapp, Owners, for review of design and materials associated with the replacement of a front yard porch.

Ryan Helle provided a summary of the staff report and recommended approval on the following condition:

Meramec sand and gravel. ARB discussed the request with the applicant, Krister Knapp, who participated via zoom. Carolyn Gaidis motioned to approve with the staff recommendation. Helen DiFate seconded the motion. ARB approved unanimously.

2. 201-215 NORTH MERAMEC & 8015 PERSHING – CONCEPTUAL REVIEW – NEW MIXED-USE RESIDENTIAL Consideration of a request by Trivers, Applicant, on behalf of Keeley Properties, Owner, for the conceptual review of a new multifamily residential development.
